I never did like making background, something I later learned was a necessity. Looking back on it this could’ve been a whole lot better if I’d just either coloured it, or drawn the background on the last picture. Oh well, the blessing of hindsight…

Well, backgrounds in lineart would make the comic a whole lot harder to understand. I think you did the right thing back then. The addition of colour and change of style simply made a more detailed comic possible. So, yes, you didn’t have much of a background back then, but it was perfect for the comic as it was!
